If it’s like my bike, the rear brake loses it’s pressure if i don’t use it for a couple of days. A couple quick pumps when i first start my ride gets her going. I live with it as it’s not that detremental to me and the few pumps work while i’m out.

 

Oh, this had the living **** pumped out of it yesterday! It had an 115kg me jumping up and down on it riding along the A515. I’m probably lucky I didn’t break the lever. I’m sure it’s something simple. 😬

 

Yes the rear brake is mostly there for inclusion sake because leaving it out would just look weird. But don't expect any functionality from it. And the piston in the caliper tends to get dirty.

I also reckon the rear brake will see more use when it actually contributes to braking and not just a riding style thing.

 

Yeah, it’s a bit of a weird one. Include “Supermoto” mode for the abs, then fit a back brake that doesn’t work. Very silly. I’ll have a look at it on Saturday, weather permitting, and see what’s to be done.

 

I like to press it sometimes so it doesn’t get lonely.
